Nordic Tour Focuses on Green Transition to Tap Development Potential of China-Europe Cross-Border Trade

Foreign Minister Wang Yi paid a visit to four Nordic countries: Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, marking a large-scale tour of Nordic nations by China’s foreign minister after more than a decade. All four countries are long-standing friendly partners of China, among which Sweden serves as China’s largest trading partner in the Nordic region. The talks centered on green transition, new energy, scientific and technological innovation, free trade and climate cooperation, aiming to advance bilateral investment, interconnect industrial and supply chains, and deepen consensus on China-Europe multilateral cooperation. Meanwhile, the visit focused on coordinated development of green industries, technological innovation and cross-border trade, continuously expanding space for pragmatic cooperation between China and Nordic countries.
