The Dubai Airshow this year lasts for five days, with the theme of “The Future Is Here”, and is held from November 17th to 21st, providing an important platform for exchanges and cooperation in the global aviation industry. Emirati media said that this is the “largest and most content-rich” Dubai Airshow.
According to the organizers, this year’s air show has attracted over 1,500 exhibitors and is expected to receive 148,000 industry visitors. More than 200 aircraft of various types will be on display, including commercial aircraft, military aircraft, business jets, unmanned aerial vehicles and advanced aviation technologies. The presentation methods include static displays and flight performances.
According to the information released by the organizers, nearly a hundred aviation-related enterprises from the Chinese mainland participated in the exhibition this year. Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. brought one C919 aircraft and one C909 aircraft to the exhibition, while China Southern Airlines brought one C919 aircraft to the exhibition. This is the first time that the domestically produced C919 aircraft has made its debut in the Middle East. Comac conducted a flight demonstration of the C919 on the spot. In addition, products such as unmanned aerial vehicles and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) developed by China were also showcased at the air show.
